Waitemata District Health Board is the largest DHB in New Zealand with two acute admitting hospitals at North Shore and Waitakere sites. The Cardiology Department is expanding to provide more efficient and effective services to meet the increased demands of the population.
The Echocardiography Department has a 0.8 to 1.0 FTE vacancy for an experienced Cardiac Sonographer. Entry level into the Cardiac Sonographer role is at least 2 years’ experience in Cardiac Sonography, and an undergraduate level degree in Health or Imaging.
The successful applicant will be someone who is hard working, has shown a commitment for providing excellence in patient care and a drive to succeed professionally. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability and maturity to work in stressful situations and to be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
